This isn't how Little Wing was originally played. Hendrix recorded it in Standard tuning (down a half step) — this page takes the real, widely-documented chord progression and refrets it in Michael Hedges' own C G D G B C tuning, pairing two guitarists both famous for treating the instrument like a piano, layering melody over ringing open strings.

Hendrix moves through Em, G, and Am with a IV–V–vi feel before a Bm–Bb chromatic slide pulls the harmony somewhere unexpected, resolving through Am and C before a final Fadd9–C–D turnaround. It's the chords themselves that are simple — what Hendrix did between them, with hammer-ons and thumb-fretted embellishments, is the real genius.
